2026/27 Winter Season ID Skates

The Mustangs Hockey Club will be hosting their ID camp for all ages from June 12-14 2026 in Lethbridge for all age groups. The cost is $60 per player and includes 3 ice times. Our spring ID camp is where we will identify players and build rosters for the upcoming season.

Southern Alberta's Alternative to Minor Hockey

Since 2019, the Mustangs Hockey Club has been providing Southern Alberta youth the opportunity to develop and play at a competitive level without the restricitons of local minor hockey and Hockey Alberta. The Mustangs offers an elite hockey playing experience from U9 through to U18 that is focused on skill development and progression within the game of hockey. Over the last 6 seasons, the Mustangs have had many players move on to play Jr, CSSHL, and AAA hockey.

Who we are

The Mustangs Hockey Club is based out of Southern Alberta and Southeastern BC playing in the Premier Hockey League. The PHL is designed for high level and elite players with a strong focus on player development. All league games are played in a Showcase format consisting of 4 games at a neutral site 7 times throughout the year. Teams will play between 30-36 games and access to over 100+ hours of on ice development per season.

In 2024/25 the Mustangs will field teams in the U9, U11, U13, U15, U16 & U18 Divisions.

Why Play for the Mustangs?

The Mustangs will provide a unique hockey experience. We believe the players will be able to play in a highly competitive league with other teams and players of a similar skill set. Because we are not restricted by local MHA boundaries and draw areas, players are allowed to play with their friends and can choose to be part of the team.

The team will practice as a group on weekends to accommodate for the travel of different players. We anticipate each practice to consist of 2-5 hours on ice as well as some off ice training. Several rinks will be utilized throughout Southern Alberta for practices and exhibition games. We anticipate playing a 30-36 game schedule.
